Kaski (Pahichan) September 11 – Family members of transgender Pinky Gurung, gay male Bishoraj Adhikari,Pitar Rai and inter-sex people Kusum Bista have said that they have not discriminated on the basis of identity. Speaking in National Consultative Meeting in Pokhara, family members said they are living very happy life.
Kasi Gurung, sister of Blue Diamond Society (BDS) Pinky Gurung, said that her parents have not stopped to disclose their gender identity. Kasi said that he came to know about Pinky through television show.
She felt pride as many people know her on the name of her sister Pinky Gurung. Bishal Adhikari, brother of Bisoraj Adhikari said there is not discrimination in the society. He said Bisoraj is their guardian.
Bishal expressed the commitment that there will be full support to his brother Bisoraj. Alima Rai, younger sister of Peter Rai, also said that there is no discrimination.
Saraswoti Thapa, mother of inter-sex Kusum Bista said there is full-fledge support to Kusum to disclose the identity. Saraswoti said BDS is working very excellent job in securing the rights of gender and sexual minority.
