Kathmandu (Pahichan) September 16 – Transgender have said that they are being beaten by ordinary people as well as police. They shared their agony with Chairman of Blue Diamond Society Pinky Gurung. They said police beat them when they complain violence against them.
Transgender Kumari Rai became injured when a man beat her, while Lajawati Magar, Kanchi Maya Tamang and Suntali Lama became injured when police beat them. They sustained injury in head, eye, nose and knee.
The said instead of providing justice police beat them without any fault. Gurung said people who beat transgender should be book and justice should be delivered. Police has expressed a commitment that they will take action to those people who thrashed transgender.
