Jhapa (Pahichan) March 27 – A study has shown that there are more than five thousand members of homosexual and transgender. Among them who have approached Blude Diamond Society Office Damak, 2600 have disclosed their identity. According to Chanchala Numa Limbu, program coordinator of BDS, there are not sufficient budget and programs to reach to target community.
According to her, many members of this community are already in relationship. Limbu complained that there has not been any encouragement from state side to bring packages and programs to this community.
Limbu said the concerns of this community must be addressed formulating laws as per the constitutional provisions.
