Kathmandu (Pahichan) May 31 – Lawmaker Parbati Rawal has said that all human beings are equal in terms of human values. Rawal said members of sexual and gender minority must receive an environment to live with dignity and respect. Rawal who is from Nepal Community Party lawmaker in National Assembly said after the formation of laws, no one will be denied from the rights.
“The rights of this community must be secured through the formation of laws as per the constitutional provisions. The Parliament will give priority for the formulation of laws,” said Rawal. She said members of this community must receive equal rights.
She also said that members of this community deserve the same-sex marriage. She lauded the 33 percent reservation for women in all state organs. “Members of this community must get rights as stated in the constitution,” said Rawal.
