Makwanpur (Pahichan) June 3 – Province no. 3 government is preparing to launch special program targeting sexual and gender minority. In a policy and program unveiled targeting next fiscal year, it has been stated that special program will be implemented in coordination with federal government and local government.
The document further states that protection houses, day service center, senior citizen houses would be constructed targeting children, senior citizen and people with disability. In the 200 point of program, it is mentioned that special program would be organized targeting single women and sexual and gender minority.
Similarly, the policy states that society-based rehabilitation program would be conducted targeting gender and sexual minority. The document also states that awareness program would be conducted to end all types of discrimination in the society.
