Kathmandu (Pahichan) January 28-Sunil Babu Pant, a campaigner who is fighting to ensure the rights of homosexuals and transgender, has warned not to compare transgenders with anyone. Citing a Facebook status posted by senior Maoist leader Baburam Bhattarai who has talked about a new Mahabharat war, Pant asked not to make any comparison in the society.
“You leaders make all the mistakes but people who are facing discrimination and have no access to resources are being criticized,” Pant said.
Pant, who was a member in the previous CA, stated that third genders are facing difficulties and they are being exploited by patriarchal society. He further added that Constituent Assembly (CA) has failed to deliver a new constitution due to the leader like Bhattarai who represents our patriarchal society. “We do not wan to be lined with CA Chair, President, and Prime Minister. Leaders are making the mistake but we are being criticized,” he further added.
