Kathmandu (Pahichan) September 5 – Lawmaker of Rastriya Prajatantra Party- Nepal (RPP-N) Biraj Bista has said that due to irresponsibility of major parties there is a signal that rights of gender and sexual minorities will not be ensured in the constitution.
Speaking to Pahichan program, Bista said four parties have captured the CA to push the statute drafting process according to their own way.
“Instead of ensuring broader participation of people, major parties are pushing their own aspirations in constitution drafting process,” Bista said adding that there will be negative repercussion and minorities will not get the right. He said political parties have not accepted the existence of other parties.
“This has led that foundation of indolence is strong. Here, a patient can not trust doctor and one Nepali ca not trust other,” he said. He said major parties should make their mind open to mainstream the marginalized community through a new constitution.
