Kathmandu (Pahichan) January 18 – District Court Kathmandu has provided two contradictory verdicts in a similar case. Regarding the case of severely beaten, court has given a clean cheat to one person while another person has faced jail term.
The court Bench led by Dipendra Adhikari has granted clean cheat to Rajani KC and two-year jail term to Priya Thapa. Santosh Thapa Magar has filed cases against KC and Thapa on a severely beaten case.
Homosexual and transgender rights activists have said that it is injustice to Priya Manage as there was a dispute among friends at Tilganga Eye Hospital.
Chairman of Blue Diamond Society Pinki Gurung said that they will demand to review the verdict against Priya Thapa.
“On the same case, one people got clean cheat, while another has been sentenced, we want to know on what basis and law there are contradictory verdict.” said Gurung. There is a provision of seeking to review the verdict. “The innocent person has faced injustice and punishment which should be corrected,” Gurung said.
