Rupandehi (Pahichan) April 19 – District Administration Office Rupandehi has started issuing citizenship on the basis of their identity. Earlier, administration had refused to provide citizenship demanding certificate from doctor. 
Yam Bahadur Rana, ‘Aanik’ has received citizenship under O (Others) category. Rana is first in Lumbini zone to take citizenship under O category. Rana was approaching to get citizenship since 2070.
Speaking to Pahichan Online, Rana said she made several attempts to get citizenship but faced a lot of difficulties. She also filed a case at Supreme Court.
Rana as there has not been hearing, members of this community are very sad. Earlier, administration has refused to correct the citizenship of Santa Bahadur Pun.
Pun later submitted the experience letter of working in BDS. However, administration has not corrected citizenship. So Rana is first in the district to get citizenship.
