Kathmandu (Pahichan) May 24 – Members of gender and sexual minority are participating in the Clean Kathmandu, Green Kathmandu, a campaign launched by Naya Shakti Nepal led by former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai. On the Budha Purnima, the campaign was launched at Kalanki Area and there was a sizeable presence of this community.
Members of this community are saying that they will provide continuous support to such creative social works. Chairman of Blue Diamond Society said it is a matter to pride to feel responsibility towards society.
Speaking to Pahichan Radio, Naya Shakti Hishila Yami said participation of this community is encouraging since the very beginning. “They are participating in this campaign with a courage and zeal so that we appointed Pinki Gurung as Kathmandu coordinator,” said Yami.
Leader Ganga Shrestha of Naya Shakti said the presence of this community is very encouraging. “There is encouraging presence of this community,” Shresta said the campaign will be stopped for two weeks and will resume after the national level meeting of party.
