Kathmandu (Pahichan) June 16 – Central Council member of Naya Shakti Party Pinki Gurung has said that homosexual and transgender are facing difficulties due to the discrimination and rude behavior in the society.
Speaking at the close-session of Naya Shakti, Gurung said members of this community are capable to male and female. She said Naya Shakti would represent the modern times and such situation will not be repeated.
“The discrimination against this community will not happen because, there is a Naya Shakti which hears the voices of new era, I am hopeful that you will give support to us to secure our rights,” said Gurung. 
Gurung said all the people in the society should raise their voices. Gurung who is also Chairman of Blue Diamond Society said though in several countries, members of this community have not received rights, there has been improvement in Nepal. Gurung said in several countries, members of this community have not received their rights.
Our constitution has addressed the rights of this community. Gurung said Naya Shakti Coordinator Baburam Bhattarai played a vital role to incorporate the rights of this community in the constitution. She also provided the details to prove that LGBTI are existence since the long time.
