Rupandehi (Pahichan) July 4 – Rupandehi Coordinator of Naya Shakti Nepal Devendra Pandy Sagar has said that they are ready to work in coordination with gender and sexual minority. He said that they are ready to incorporate homosexual and transgender in the district working committee.
Stating that there was a high level of participation in an inaugural session of Naya Shakti, he urged all to come out openly in the district as well. He suggested joining the political party to secure the rights.
According to him, like women, one percent reservation should be allocated for LGBTI in the political parties and other state agencies.
He appreciated the role played by Blue Diamond Society Chairman Pinky Gurung. He said there should be at least one representative in the District Working Committee of party. He underlined need of representation of this community in the policy making bodies.
