Kaski (Pahichan) July 11 – Blue Diamond Society which is working to ensure the rights of gender and sexual minority has concluded two-day leadership skill training. The purpose of training was to enhance leadership capability of staffs associated with Blue Diamond Society. There were altogether 26 staffs working at the BDS office Kathmandu.
Vaishali Pradhan coordinated the training. Pradhan informed about the various aspects that is required for leadership development. She informed about the skills required for the management of internal conflict in any organizations. She said people with skills could easily manage such difficulties. The program was conducted on Thursday and Friday.
On the first day, Chairman of BDS Pinky Gurung said it is because of the leadership skills, the organization is making progress. Gurung and other participants praised the effective leadership provided by Sunil Babu Pant. Concluding the training, Executive Director of BDS Manisha Dhakal said tranining has been very fruitful.
She urged to translate the theoretical knowledge into practice. Dhakal said every organization have a challenge of performing their duty in an effective way.
She said members of BDS are effectively performing their duties. She said in the coming days, all should follow the knowledge they gained in the training.
Due to the initiations taken by BDS, transgender are receiving citizenship, passport and other rights. The constitution has guaranteed the rights of this community.
