Syangja (Pahichan) August 11 – Blue Diamond Society Chapter Syangja has said that both governmental and non-governmental organizations are not supporting to secure the rights of sexual and gender minority.
Social Worker Gangaram Regmi said governmental and non-governmental organizations are not supporting citing the reasons that their organizations are not registered.
“If the organization is registered it would be easy to collect the donation and work for the rights of gender and sexual minority,” said Regmi. Regmi said though the number of transgender is high in the district, they are reluctant to disclose their identity.
According to Regmi, if there is awareness program, it would help to end the violence against this community. She asked to incorporate the sexual and gender minority in the vocational training conducted by homosexual and transgender.
