Dang (Pahichan) September 8 – Homosexual and transgender have been selected as representative of district convention of Dang district of CPN-UML. The convention is taking place on Bhadra 26 and 26 in the district.
65 homosexual and transgender are selected as representatives, according to Shilpa Chaudhary, a representative of minority group. “This is a first time that large number of homosexual and transgender has been selected as convention representative,” said Chaudhary.
Homosexual and transgender are active in the various political parties. They are working to make their problems as political agenda. Naya Shakti Nepal has already appointed Chairman of Blue Diamond Society Pinky Gurung as head of party’s Dalit and Margnalized Department head.
