Kathmandu (Pahichan) September 9 – A case has been filed at National Human Rights Commission at Police Range office Gaushala against four police personnel. Transgender Muna Rai and Kiran Rai filed a complaint stating that police is committing violence to the members of this community without any reason. Police Office MT Karki thrashed transgender.
Transgender Kiran filed a complaint against LP Khatri, BS Bohara and T. Thapa. Kiran said there is an injury at leg, chest and stomach, according to the complaint filed by Kiran. Kiran turned faint after police thrashed her.
Transgender Shila Singh took Kiran to hospital for the treatment. Members of this community complaint that police are giving unnecessary torture while walking in the street. They are also asking about the part of their body. In their complaints, Muna and Kiran have demanded to take action to those who are giving torture to them.
