Kathmandu (Pahichan) October 19 – Chief Whip of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Loktantrik) Yogendra Chaudhary has said that all the parties should give tickets to the members of LGBTI in the election as new constitution has ensured their rights. He said there is a need of positive contribution of political parties for the effective implementation of new constitution.
“Even if it is not mentioned in the new constitution it is the responsibility of parties to accommodate the aspirations of all sectors,” he said adding that parties should ensure the representation of this community from national to local level. He said it would be easy if the number of LGBTI is properly counted in Nepal.
He said MJF (L) wants to ensure the representation of this community. He said same-sex marriage should be legalized and managed. He recommended such with a with that people can commit crime if this rights of liberty are not secured. He said along with rights of property ownership, citizenship rights and social issues, same-sex marriage should be controlled.
