Sarlahi (Pahichan) October 27 – District Administration Office Sarlahi has started issuing citizenship mentioned the gender identity. The office is providing citizenship mentioned O (others) category as per the directives of Ministry of Home Affairs.
Gube Gole has been the first person in the district to receive citizenship under the O category. The project Coordinator of Blue Diamond Society Abdul Sahamad has congratulated him reaching his own residence.
Speaking to Pahichan, he said it has given him an encouragement that members of this community are receiving citizenship on the basis of their identity. Stating that it is a great achievement people who are willing to increase their gender identity is increasing.
Though Gole was born as male, now his habits and gesture is totally like female. He has a good rapport with friends and society. Gole said he is very happy to get the citizenship as per the gender identity. Other districts are also providing citizenship under the O category.
