Ambika Dahal/Lalitpur (Pahichan) November 6 – Parichaya Nepal has started the prevention, care and treatment of homosexual and transgender adopting new methodology. Lalitpur Chapter of BDS has started such program.
At a program organized to inform about government offices, Coordinator of Society Manoranjan Kumar Baidya expressed a hope that new methodology would be helpful to bring the HIV infection in zero. “Now, we will continue to follow those people who approach us for the HIV test,” he said adding that people whom they met at field will be brought to Clinic for the test.
As per the government rule, all the non-governmental organization working in this field would adopt fast-track system adopting 90-90-90. Public Health Administrator of Lalitpur District Jhalak Sharma Poudel said the HIV infection is fast spreading. He said priority should be given to equal and equity and there should not be discrimination against gender and sexual minority.
