Three-day training conducted

Kathmandu (Pahichan) November 11- Youth Peer Foundation Network organized a three-day education camp on SRHR, HIV, SDGs, Leadership skills in Green Valley Resort from November 4 to November 7. The Youth Peer Education Network (YPEER), is a groundbreaking and comprehensive youth-to-youth initiative supported by UNFPA.

Y -Peer Nepal has recently organized a three days Edutainment Rukshana kapali (17 years) as a representative of FSGMN also joined this training program. A short session was also conducted on LGBTI where participants were seen very enthusiastic the facilitators of the training Rukshana imparted a comprehensive knowledge about the wide-range of issues about LGBTI.

Rukshana said “I went to the training as a representative of FSGMN. During the training, I never said I was a transgender although few people there know about me. But, I actively explained about LGBTI during its session. I don’t know if other participants have known that I am a transgender or not. Although I am open in the society, this time I did not feel necessary coming out. But explaining about LGBTI and clearing people’s confusion was exciting.” Moreover our discussions and interactions were LGBTI-inclusive.
