Kailali (Pahichan) January 10 – Transgender of far-western region have said that they are in confusion due to the lack of knowledge regarding the gender identity.
At a program organized by Blue Diamond Society Dhangadi Chapter on human rights, sexual disease and HIV AIDS, members of transgender who came from village level said they are in confusions. Transgender Chainu said there is a lack of awareness and she did not know about transgender.
Chainu said the perception of society is different to this community and people tease them when they walk in the society. Transgender Jhimki Maya said she also has a same problem.
The program was attended by the transgender who came from the remote areas. Raju Lama, Coordinator of Far-western District informed about the minority groups in the program.
