Ruksana Kapali/Kathmandu (Pahichan) January 15 – Sanjay Sharma and Anjana Shahi Sharma who owns Touch Beauty, a cosmetic care clinic, has visited Blue Diamond Society in order to discuss on cosmetic services. With a small meeting with the executive director and few other staffs, both of the have told that Touch Beauty wants to provide various cosmetic treatments to trans people.

Touch beauty located at Baneswar is the first clinic in Nepal to introduce laser hair removal. From its establishment the clinic has been providing hair removal services to transwoman in cheap price. Most of the transwomen visit this clinic for hair removal since it is both trans friendly as well as provide trans people, services in affordable way.

January 13 Friday discussion was held because Touch beauty wants to introduce more cosmetic treatments for trans people specifically. Therefore, they visited Blue Diamond Society central office for queries. The executive director of the organization suggested them to introduce sex reassignment surgery for trans people in Nepal. Similarly, few other staffs suggested that breast implant, facial feminization and various other treatments are necessary for transwomen whereas top surgery, hair growth, hair implant, etc are needed for transmen.

Similarly, they have been suggested to introduce voice therapy, hormone counselling and other beautification treatment for trans people.

Sanjay and Anjana said that they had been talking with world renowned doctors since four years about introduction of these facilities in nepal and now they have been well convinced. They are even willing to start new treatments if the demand is there,.

Touch Beauty has always been working with Blue Diamond Society to make trans friendly cosmetic services. While assisting with hair removal treatment for a decade, they now wish to introduce more services.

They also say that for trans people, their clinic is not professional, rather more as social work.
