Rukshana Kapali/Kathmandu (Pahichan) February 1 – General Secretary of Federal Socialist Party Rajendra Shrestha has said gender and sexual minority should be provided the spaces on the principles of inclusive and proportional representation.
Speaking at a program in Kathmandu, Shrestha said there should be representation not only on the basis of caste but also in terms of gender identity.
He said as there is provisions of 33 representations of women, members of this community should be accommodated accordingly. “There should be representation of this community in the Parliament as well,” Shrestha said.
He said along with Janajati, Muslim and others, there should be collaboration with this community. He said even in Newar community there is presence of this community.
