‘Along with identity, we need state facilities’

Kailali (Pahichan) February 4 –  Members of gender and sexual minority have said that though they are receiving citizenship on the basis of identity they are denied from any facilities. They said due to the lack of legal arrangements on same-sex marriage they are compelled to conceal their relationship.

Speaking at a program organized by District Chapter of Blue Diamond Society, participants said same-sex marriage should be legalized and provided the state facilities.

Regional Coordinator Raju Lama said there is lack of access in the education, health and employment and they are facing day to day problems.  Professors at Tikapur Multiple Campus said it is very good to launch publicity campaign about the members of this community.

They suggested running the classes in the schools and colleges about this community. Working journalist here said they are already positive about this community and ready to pen the issues of this community.
