Kathmandu (Pahichan) February 8 – Human Rights activist have said that civil and criminal code has violated the rights of women and gender and sexual minority.
Organizing a press conference Women Network for Justice said some provisions of Muluki Ain are against progressive and that needs to be amended.
The network has also raised the issues of gender and sexual minority along with male and female. The network has also submitted a memo to Speaker Onsari Gharti. They have demanded to legalize the same-sex marriage.
