Kaski (Pahichan) February 9 – Deepak Koirala, coordinator of CPN (Maoist Centre) Kaski has said that his party will provide space to homosexual and transgender if they come out with their identity. He said there is no representation of this community in the political parties as they are reluctant to disclose their identity.
Koirala said party is ready to give them leadership status. “This frank and candid talks today, I came to know a lot about this community,” he said. He said if members of this community give space to this community, they will be accommodated in the party.
He said both government and non-governmental organization should think about mentioning Others in their activities. “Only rhetorical thing is not sufficient, there should be accommodation in process and law and all should feel equal,” he said.
