Nawalparasi (Pahichan) February 13 – With a vision of transforming society through politics, transgender Puspa Lama has joined Nepali Congress. Earlier, she was not associated with any political parties.
Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister who is also Nepali Congress leader Bimaendra Nidhi welcomed her in the party.
“I joined Nepali Congress to prove that even transgender are capable to take responsibility if they get chance. I have a plan of transforming society and this community,” said Lama.
Lama said other parties have also approached her but she joined NC as she liked its ideology. She said politics is the best medium to make a social status.
