Kathmandu (Pahichan) February 16 – General Secretary of All Nepal National Student Union Ain Mahar has said that there will be representation of gender and sexual minority in the Free Student Union election.
Speaking to Pahichan, he said members of this community should openly seek their representation in the election. “First the individual should be active. If anyone is willing t fight election from our organization we will help,” he said, adding that there should not be discrimination on the basis of gender identity.
He said this organization is accommodating this community though they have not advocated for the rights of this community.
“The constitution has already ensured the representation of this community, we would not hesitate to ensure the representation of this community,” Mahar said. Mahar said he is already in favour of inclusion but against the approach of taking all benefit by a single individual in the name of inclusion.
