Kathmand (Pahichan) February 17 – Santosh Pandey, a leader of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Loktantrik) has said that political parties should provide space and opportunities for the transgender.
He said if transgender are capable they should get opportunity to reach at the leadership level of political parties. He is of the view that members of this community should not be discriminated on the basis of identity.
He said gender identity should not be an obstacle to be active in the political parties. “We should begin by ourselves and they should be provided opportunity,” he said, adding that reservation should be provided to this community. He suggested the members of this community to come forward with a vision of national development.
