Monica announces candidacy for Central Committee member

Kathmandu (Pahichan) February 20 – Monica Shahi has announced her candidacy for the Central Committee member of Rastriya Prajatantra Party. Shahi began her journey from ward no 2 of Lumki Chuwa Municipality who subsequently was elected general convention representative from Kalali-2.  “I have reached to general convention from village level.

I am hopeful that I will be elected unopposed in the Central Committee member as well,” said Shahi, “I am the only candidate from gender and sexual minority so that I am hopeful that I will be elected.” She shared that she wants to do something for society and country not only for the gender and sexual minority.

She has also a dream of bagging the post of lawmaker and then after minister which helps to highlight the agenda of gender and sexual minority. She prefers open competition instead of the reservation.

“Our guardian Sunil Babu Pant was elected from proportional quota and he played a vital role to incorporate our agenda in the constitution,” she said.  “I am also fighting for this community from the grass-root level.  I want to become lawmaker and minister,” he said.
