Kailali (Pahichan) February 27 – Transgender have said that they are being denied from state facilities due to the problems to faced citizenship as per the gender identity.
At a program organized by Women, Law and Development Forum on civil rights, Advocate Luma Singh Bisokarma said members of this community are facing difficulties to get the citizenship. District Administration Office is demanding medical report to issue the citizenship on the basis of report.
He said though constitution has ensured the equal rights to all, members of this community are facing difficulties to get citizenship. Mohan Singh Joshi of National Human Rights Commission said they are denied from property due to lack of citizenship.
