Chitwan (Pahichan) March 1 – A gender and sexual Minority Contact committee has been formed in Chitwan under the leadership of Dev Narayan Shrestha under Naya Shakti.
The body was formed in the presence of Pinky Gurung, Central Councilmember and coordinator of gender and sexual department of the party. The 30-member team will coordinate with government and other agencies on the issues related to gender and sexual minority.
“It will work in securing the rights of gender and sexual minority. This body will be fruitful to create a political awareness,” Gurung said. According to her, it will make efforts to ensure the proportional and inclusive theory. “There is still lack of awareness in this community. This will also prepare a plan to ensure the income of this community,” Gurung said.
