Kathmandu (Pahichan) March 12 – Co-chairperson of Sadbhawana Party Laxman Lal Karna has said that it is better to formulate special laws targeting gender and sexual minority instead of Civil and Criminal codes.
Speaking to Pahichan, Karna who leaders a sub-committee, said along with transgender efforts and underway to make special laws for the children and other community. “The section 3 of Civil and Criminal Code states that special laws are required for special community,” Karna said, “So special laws are necessary for homosexual, transgender, children, disabled and other community.”
Therefore, we did not address the issue of same-sex marriage in our group, he said. He said there will not be any problems after the formulation of laws. He requested to maintain patience for the laws on same-sex marriage.
