Kathmandu(Pahichan) March 17 – This course is open to women practitioners in civil society organizations in Nepal including community-based organizations and not for profits, or active in public or private institutions, donor/philanthropic agencies, social movements or in a social enterprise/business.

Participants should possess a minimum of two years of demonstrated leadership experience in a social or economic development endeavor in sectors such as livelihoods or inclusive economic development, food security, environment, access to education and health care, governance, political engagement of women and/or the rights of girls and women. Participants should normally have some post-secondary education and have great drive and passion for their work.

Up to 25 women will be selected to participate in the program.

Description:

This program creates space for women leaders to build their individual leadership skills and learn to better position themselves and their work within their respective organizations for creating social change. Participants will learn practical new strategies for moving development forward with gender sensitive processes, assess their life experiences for personal strengths and motivations, build a leadership profile that matches their strengths and capacities and network with an inspired group of women eager to break down gender-oriented barriers and constraints that limit development in Nepal.

This will be a full 5-day program run by the International Centre for Women’s Leadership at Coady International Institute and The Story Kitchen, Nepal (TSK). Participants will be provided with accommodation, ground transportation, meals, and course materials. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the program.
