A fair on transgender  

Kathmandu (Pahichan) March 26 – Nepal Art Council has demonstrated the goods prepared and used by transgender. The goods used by Transgender Tirthaman Shakya is being demonstrated in the fair. 

A documentary prepared capturing the daily life of Shakya has also been screened there. The documentary was prepared by Mehabub Rehaman, a Bangladeshi national, which is 9-minute long. Shakya, father of a son and daughter, was a son at the time of birth.

He became to be attracted with a male. Shakya has a separate room in Lazimpat as he married due to thefamily pressure. She goods collected has been moved to the fair for the demonstrator. Shakya has received a cupboard gift from gender and sexual campaigner Sunil Babu Pant.

The name of cupboard is Cabinet. Similarly, there are other various gift provided by the people.  The national and international visitors are observing the fair.

The documentary also incorporates the transgender Simram Sherchan.  Shakya is with a women get up with artificial breast and hair which has been a major attraction of visitors.  Shakya said such fair would help to highlight the issues of gender and sexual minority and address the discrimination.  Tirthaman Shakya is working with Blue Diamond Society.
