Kathmandu (Pahichan) April 12 – Lawmaker of Rastriya Prajatantra Party Biraj Bista has said that citizens will not have to fight for their rights. He said members of gender and sexual minority are fighting for their rights due to the issues related to development of country.
“Members of this community fighting for their rights means that state is very poor. The constitution has already guaranteed rights of this community. So, there is no logic against providing rights to the members of this community,” said Bista.
He said though Nepal is forward in South Asia in terms of providing rights to members of gender and sexual minority, there is not still not satisfactory situation. He is of the view unless there is the civilization development, rights will not be completely established.
