Rupandehi (Pahichan) April 20 – Naya Shaki Nepal Party led by former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai is preparing to select members of gender and sexual minority as candidates for local elections. The party has expressed the commitment to do so.
Members of this community are expressing solidarity in the protest launched by 68 political parties demanding the eleciton symbol in the upcoming elections.
Chairman of BDS Pinky Gurung is Secretariat member and party has already formed a central committee of this community.
Speaking at a program of launching theelection office of party, Central Council member member Kismat BK said said Naya Shaki would accommodate all the members of the community. He said minority group will be accommodated as per their population.
