Political integration of gender and sexual minority: Khanal

Kathmandu (Pahichan) April 26 – Lawmaker Bikram Khanal has said that as constitution has opened the door for inclusion, all the sections of society could be accommodated. Speaking to Pahichan, he said there could be political integration of gender and sexual minority.

“It may not be possible in ward level but one member of this community can be established in village assembly,” Khanal who represents from Nawalparsi said in case there is not present of this community, members of other marginalized community could be provided the space.

According to law, there should be at least two representation of Dalit and marginalized community in village assembly and three in municipality. “If rights are provided to citizenship it would create a feeling of equality, it will help to strengthen democracy as well as nationality,” he said.
