Kathmandu (Pahichan) June 10 – Secretariat Member of Gender and Sexual Minority Ishwar Rijal has said that Naya Shaki is the only party that can represent gender and sexual minority.
Speaking to Pahichan, the leader said Naya Shakti has provided a platform of leadership to gender and sexual minority unlike to other parties. “We have taken them to a leadership level. Baburamji formed Naya Shakti to accommodate all the sections of the society.
We have appointed Minority and Dalit Coordinator in the party. The members of this community are facing exploitation which could be the reasons of incidents,” said Rijal. Rijal said members of this community should be provided equal rights. He said members of this community should not be kept under the current circumstances.
He said though there was a huge expectation with Maoist party, people is disappointed with this community. “Maoist party could be an agent of change and inclusion but it involved in corruption that is why we formed Naya Shakti whose basic tenant in inclusion,” said Rijal.
