Kailali (Pahichan) June 29 – Transgender rights activist Bibek Singh has said that 20 gender and sexual minority has come into contact in the last six months. Singh said about 20 members of this community come into contact in every six\seven months. However, they are still reluctant to disclose their identity.
According to Singh, members of this community are still hesitant to come up with their identity due to the discrimination faced by this community in the society.
“Even the family members re not supportive. They share their pains and problems with us but they feel that disclosure of identity will place them in difficulties,” said Singh.
He said that people who are aware about this community should be helpful to inform society about this community. He said people and organizations should advocate for the rights of this community.
