First Lesbian director Sherpa dies

Kathmandu (Pahichan) July 5 – Late Nilu Dolma Sherpa, first Lesbian director of Nepal, who died on Sunday, was cremated on Tuesday at Swayambhunath.  She died died due to the heart attack. The film titled How Funny, released in 2016, was directed by Sherpa. 

Sherpa who played in Punte Parad is first homosexual director. She was working for a film and there was the preparations for its announcement.

Members of gender and sexual minority, relatives, artist and other from various sectors paid  their last tribute to Sherpa.  Executive Director of Blue Diamond Society Chairman Pinky Gurung, Manisha Dhakal, and other members of this community had draped a flag of Rainbow color on the body of late Sherpa.

There is universal reorganization of this flag that LGBTI  respect.  Members of this community expressed the sorrow over the demise of Sherpa.

Chairman of Blue Diamod Society Pinky Gurung has expressed a deep sorrow over the demise of Gurung. Gurung Sherpa’s demise is a great loss not only for the cinema sector but also in the field of gender and sexual minority.

Sunil Babu Pant, lawmaker of First Constituent Assembly(CA) and campaigner of LGBTI rights has expressed a deep sorrow over the demise of Sherpa.
