Kathmandu (Pahichan) September 12 – Global Fund Save the Children Project, an organization working in field of gender and sexual minority, is going to launch a new project in Nepal. Safe the Children is going to work to identify LGBTI children and increasing educational intellectual development.
“I have initiated a new project targeting LGBTI children. Discrimination is one of the major point,” Madan Gotame, representative of Save the Children. Speaking in National Consultative Meeting (NCM) in he said, “Identifying LGBTI children, advocating for their rights and ensuring equality are major areas of project,” he said. The project has conferred school management and guardian.
“Providing orientation to school teachers and school management are our other priority,” he said adding that overall purpose of project is making LGBTI children-friendly environment.
