Indira Neupane/Makawanpur (Pahichan) October 18 – Ward Chairman Bhairab Rai has expressed the commitment of allocating budget to the members of gender and sexual minority.
Speaking to Pahichan, Rai who represents ward 17 of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan said the rights of Singh durbar is yet to reach at grass-root level.
He said due to rigid social change, members of this community are yet to disclose their identity. He underlined the need of creating awareness about gender and sexual minority. “Due to the social fear, they are reluctant to disclose their identity. I am ready to arrange all social needs of transgender,” said Rai.
He said road, drinking water and electricity are his main priorities. He said at least members of gender and sexual minority should be able to walk together with male and female in the society.
