Kathmandu (Pahichan) January 25 – Transgender women Shilpa Chaudhary has said that though there are a lot of assurances to gender and sexual minority, it has not been translated into action. Chaudhary said though political provide sweet words they are failing to implement it in practices.
“This world is strange. There is no separate laws and act in favor of us. Laws must be formulated,” said Chaudhary. Chaudhary said no one in the society is extending their support. According to her, people did not support showing the legal hurdles.
She said third genders are always projected as mock character in the society. Though CPN-UML local chapter recommended Shilpa’s name, her name was not included in closed list. She has expressed dissatisfaction over the move.
