Kathmandu (Pahichan) February 19 – Director of Curriculum Development Board Krishna Prasad Kapri has said that curricula will gradually become inclusive over the course of time. He said some issues would come along with social change and there will be changes on time.
“Along with other issues, the issues of sexual and gender minority will be incorporated and some issues will be amended,” he said. He, however, did not provide specific answer about incorporating the issues of LGBTI in curricula of grade 9 and 10.
He, however, said issues addressed by constitution will be gradually linked with curricula. In some text books, transgender are labeled as infertility but there were not clear answers from him on the issue. He said curricula will be amended following the suggestions of experts.
