Kathmandu (Pahichan) March 8 – CPN-UML leader Devraj Bhar has said that left alliance will take initiation to legalize same-sex marriage. Speaking to Pahichan, Bhar, who is also former lawmaker, said that left alliance will legalize same-sex marriage through the implementation of constitution.
“Only the formation of new government after holding three-level of election is not only implementation of constitution. We need to implement constitution formulating laws to translate constitutional rights of all communities,” he said.
He further added that Parliament is yet to formulate laws on same-sex marriage due to the pressure to formulate other laws. He said Prime Minister KP Oli is clear about homosexual and transgender.
“There is a need of drawing the attention of PM and government,” Bhar said. He said members of this community must put pressure to formulate laws on same-sex marriage.
