Kathmandu (Pahichan) March 24- Blue Diamond Society, an umbrella organization of sexual minorities, homosexuals and transgender has made it clear that it would not give protections to any crimes and criminals that are against the law of the country.
The society which is actively being involved in the campaign of securing the rights of lGBTI since 2001, said that rights of all will be effectively secured. A statement issued by Manisha Dhakal, acting director of Society, deplored the threats issued by those people not involved in the organization. She made it clear that Dilip Rai, who has been arrested by the police for his alleged involvement in thrashing and beatings to sexual minorities, is not associated with Society.
The statement reads that it is a matter of happiness that Rai has been arrested for his misdeeds and threats. It has been revealed that Rai who is know as Mohini was involved in terrorizing the sexual minorities in the Thamel, Lazimpat and Ratnapark Area. The society has demanded a stern action against the Mohini.
The society has also expressed its readiness to cooperate with police administration to take action against the Rai. Similarly, the society has demanded to arrange the security for all the office bearer of society and other homosexuals and transgender. Society has begun a signature campaign at the Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur to press the authorities to take action against Mohini. After the collection of signature, those district chapters will draw the attention of District Administration Office. Police had lodged a case at court against Rai.
