Documentation training for homosexuals and transgender

Bipana Paneru/ Kaski (Pahichan) June 12 – Sahara Nepal has provided a one-day training to homosexuals and transgender on documentation of human rights violation. The organization has provided training not to any individual but members of community regarding the documentation of human rights violation.  

The training was provided with a view that though the human rights violation of homosexuals and transgender is increasing, there is not appropriate system of documentation. Country office of Sahara Nepal Sushila Lama informed that training was provided with a purpose of providing knowledge about the violation of human rights of homosexuals and transgender.
 She expressed the dissatisfaction for denying citizenship and passport with the identity and lack of legalization of same-sex marriage. Project Deputy Director of Blue Dimand Society’s day project Sanjaya Sharma said along with the spreading education sufficient attention should be paid in advocacy. Participants in the training said that homosexuals and transgender should get training on documentation, leadership, advocacy and increasing the intellectual capacities.
