Raj Chaudhary/Kailai(Pahichan) August 25- Gender and sexual minorities of Kailai districts have begun the pig farming as a profession of income. Altogether 11 homosexual and transgender started pig farming after receiving a week-long training from District Development Committee. Far-western chapter of Blue Diamond Society has provided pigs to 11 of its members.
District Development Committee has allocated 1, 00000 for providing vocational and other types of trainings, according to Manoj Chaudhary Chairman of far-western chapter of society. In the previous fiscal year, DDC had allocated 1, 00000 for the training purpose.
Last year, driving and other vocational trainings were granted. Far-western chapter is working in the health, human rights and empowerment of members of this community. Due to the advocacy of Society, according to Chaudhary, there is positive attitude of society towards this community.
