Bhaktapur (Pahichan) November 15 – District Administration Office Bhaktapur has started distributing citizenship to gender and sexual minority under O category.The office has started providing citizenship mentioning O in the gender section of citizenship. Krishna Thapa, Jyoti is the first person in district to get citizenship under O category.
“I am happy because I have received citizenship under O category,” said Jyoti. When Jyoti reached District Administration Office with recommendation from ward office, officials asked about the different photo. Jyoti is in women get up.
Blue Diamond Society has congratulated her for receiving citizenship under O category. She also thanked District Administration Office for providing citizenship.
